Built in 1907, Darlington Hippodrome underwent a £13.7 million restoration in 2016-17.

The beautiful 1000-seat auditorium is now nestled amongst a bright and modern café bar and galleries as well as other versatile spaces – all of these spaces are available for hire so you can host your event in unique and characterful surroundings.

The Hullabaloo

Darlington Hippodrome sits adjacent to The Hullabaloo, which offers a versatile studio theatre space seating up to 177.

Access

There are wheelchair spaces on all levels of the auditorium and two lifts to provide access to all levels both front and back of house. Accessible toilets are located on every level. 

Transport connectivity

Darlington Hippodrome and The Hullabaloo are located just five minutes’ walk from Darlington’s east coast mainline train station and the same distance again from the vibrant town centre.
